The 2026 Pediatric Chaplains Network Conference explores the intersection of spiritual care, resilience, and transformation in the lives of children and families facing health challenges. Rooted in the metaphor of the desert, a place traditionally associated with solitude, reflection, and growth, this theme invites participants to reflect on the ways in which voices—whether those of the children, families, or chaplains themselves—emerge in the most barren of places, echoing with hope, healing, and enchantment.

As chaplains, we are called to listen to and amplify these voices, helping to create sacred spaces where miracles—both seen and unseen—can unfold.
